A day on the Gold Coast, without the price tag

The Gold Coast is a popular Australian tourist destination for so many reasons! And it definitely doesn’t have to be enjoyed with a high price tag. Here are some of our favourite ways to spend the weekends here on the Gold Coast…

Sunrise at the Spit

One of the best places to sit and watch the sunrise, especially if you love dogs! This is a notorious dog beach for lots of cuddles, licks and pats with the floofiest doggos. Watch the sun rise over the waves, take a walk along the jetty or order some fish and chips from the nearby café.

Brunch at Tamborine Markets

Whether you are after a tasty treat, novelty gifts, fresh herbs or something in between Tamborine Markets have everything you need. Held on the second Sunday of every month at the Showgrounds, these markets are sure to not disappoint.

Walk off the Market Food at Curtis Falls

This quick walk through lush surroundsw will take you down to Curtis Falls, there is an extension of this track if you are looking for something a bit more adventurous. Otherwise the trip down and up takes approximately 30 minutes (yes there are stairs).

Delight in a Local Craft Beer

Quench the thirst you worked up at Balter Brewery in Currumbin. You can tour the facility, taste the beers and enjoy special events, great music, food vans and a fun crew. The beers on tap alter each week so make sure you follow their gram.

Watch the Sunset from Burleigh Headland

To finish the day off take a stroll to Burleigh Headland and throw down the picnic blanket. Pack some nibbles or order some fish and chips from one of the local eatteries.
