Gold Coast Hinterland

30-minute drive

Only a short drive inland, discover the beautiful Gold coast Hinterland.  Visit natural wonders including Springbrook Mountain, Beechmont, Binna Burra, Numinbah Valley and Mount Tamborine.

Mount Tamborine is the third oldest National Park in the world, which celebrates the remnants of the former Mount Warning volcano.  There are numerous walks and lookouts from which to enjoy Mother Nature at her best.  There are 12 walking tracks in all and each one is no longer than around 3km.  Other attractions include the Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk and the Glow Worm Caves, or perhaps relax and indulge in home grown produce such as avocados, kiwifruits and macadamia nuts as well as award-winning cheeses and fabulous fudge.  Take a moment to unwind and appreciate some of Queensland’s finest wines at Cedar Creek Estate Vineyard and Winery.  The vineyard consists of two varieties including Chambourcin and Verdelho, and even though the vines are relatively young, their Chambourcin in particular, is producing a fabulous Rose.

Green Mountains, in the hinterland of the Gold Coast are part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area, and features lush rainforests, ancient trees and spectacular views.  Choose from many half and full day walks, and enjoy spectacular views of Morans Falls and Morans Creek gorge.  Venture out on a full day walk along the Border track or Mount Merino track.

Australian Outback Spectacular

25-minute drive

Saddle up and join us on a captivating journey to the snow peaked mountains of the high country where enchanted whispers and legendary yarns come alive with the most inspiring stories of Australian characters.

Be dazzled like never before by the amazing animal stars. See death defying stunts and aerial performances as you hear the brave tale of the Aussie girl sold to the circus at the tender age of 7. Be mesmerized by biggest display of special effects ever seen as you travel the Road to Omeo with Australia’s yesteryear ghosts. All of this is accompanied by a stirring musical score composed especially for the show, as well as popular country music composed and written by country music legend Lee Kernaghan. Australians are famous for their competitive spirit and it’s impossible not to become involved in the competition that develops between stockmen and women from rival stations. But which station will you barrack for? The stockmen and women of Warrego Station or Bogong High Plains?

High Country hospitality demands that every visitor to the mountains be well fed. And that applies especially to the audience! Sit back and enjoy the majesty of an arena transformed into the snowy peaks of the high country as 40 stockmen and women serve up a gourmet Aussie feast with beer, wine or soft drink to every member of the audience – all in record time.

Witness the bravery, beauty and courage of the greatest Australian stories never told... High Country Legends. Proudly presented by R.M.Williams at the Australian Outback Spectacular
